Antique Victorian Mother of Pearl MOP Coin Purse 4 Compartments Initial M in BoxA darling and well-constructed antique coin purse with four interior compartments, one of which has a separate clasp.The front and back are mother-of-pearl rectangular pieces. The interior is made of fabric, featuring an accordion-type design.The cover is adorned with the letter M, designed in metal with an elaborate font and raised details.The coin purse measures 2 1/4 inches by 1 3/4 inches by 3/4 inch deep. Weighs 1.5 ounces.In excellent condition for its age, there are no tears or fraying on the lining. The mother-of-pearl is bright and has a lovely play of light. The clasps and hinges work well. There is some patina on the metal, including the clasp inside. It has been kept in its original paper box, lined with natural cotton.
