The Foxfire Book edited by Eliot Wigginton - 1972 Vintage Book On Appalachia
This is a 1972 printing of The Foxfire Book, edited by Eliot Wigginton. It is a collection of folklore, survival skills, oral history, and more, all centered around Appalachian culture. The sources were gathered in Rabun County, Georgia in the late 1960s. This is the first installment in perhaps the most well-known series on Appalachian culture. I have found these books to be incredibly informative resources - the only reason I am parting with this copy is because I own another. This book is in good condition overall and in very good vintage condition. There is some minor creasing and discoloration on the front and back cover, as well as a significant scuff mark on the spine. There are no apparent binding issues. The pages are clean, and there is no writing or highlighting in the text, margins, or inside the cover.Buyer pays all shipping costs. I do not accept returns unless I made a significant error in assessing condition prior to shipping.
